About The R4 Initiative

The R4 Initiative, a PIRANHA innovation, is geared towards reducing the amounts of waste going to our landfills, by helping businesses and communities find markets for non-hazardous material.

The goal of R4 is to reduce the amount of reusable business and institutional discards going to landfills. R4 seeks to help Trinidad and Tobago individuals, businesses, government, and nonprofit organizations save money and other valuable resources by:

1. Reducing their disposal costs

2. Helping them find reusable items and feedstock materials for little to no cost

Be part of the R4 Initiative, a step forward in conserving energy, resources, and landfill space.

We at the R4 organization believe that education is the pillar on which the foundation of our lives is laid. Education is actually a reflexive process, which starts from the very moment we open our eyes, or maybe even before. It is said that we start to learn and associate with our mothers’ voices, actions and emotions from the time we are in the womb. And all our lives we continue to climb up the learning curve. Formal education makes the learning organized and structured, adding clarity and depth to the experience. Informal learning likewise enriches our sensibilities and perceptions. In a sense, education is that inexorable force in our lives which drives us to our goals and objectives and to our destiny. One of the primary goals of the R4 Organization's is to spread education on the environment among different segments of the community, particularly the youth.
